项目摘要
The goal of the proposed research program is to advance sustainable building design that yields *high performing (energy efficient, healthy, comfortable and durable), and at the same time *environmentally friendly and cost-effective buildings. Innovative research on the impact of *integrating new materials, design concepts and technologies in sustainable building at the *building envelope and whole-building levels are the foci of the program. The research program is *based on building physics and encompasses not only new building designs but also issues *related to the retrofitting existing buildings. The research program aim is to reduce the *environmental impacts of buildings and to increase economic opportunities, and social and *health benefits for Canadians.
