Human intent recognition for smart vehicles

In this project, General Motors of Canada Company (GM Canada) and the research team will investigate the applicability of machine learning algorithms for human behavior identification and/or human intent recognition. We will identify data sources available in modern vehicles, characterize these data sources, and use them to develop machine learning models for predicting the intent of both manual, automated, and autonomous vehicles. The results will provide insights into the suitability of data analysis for modern-day automotive vehicles and will allow us to speculate about the user' intent to ensure safety and security in the next generation of connected automated vehicles.
