Professor Vallée-Bélisles research chair program aims at integrating research efforts from various scientific fields (biochemistry, chemistry, electrical and biomedical engineering, and medicine) to develop revolutionary nanotechnologies that will have an unprecedented impact on global health. Over the next five years, prof. Vallée-Bélisles research group will characterize several naturally occuring biochemical mechanisms by recreating them in vitro with the objective of characterizing and understanding their detailed thermodynamic and kinetic mechanisms. This research program will lay down the ground rules for designing the first generation of bionanomachines capable of performing revolutionary applications in medical diagnosis and cancer treatments.
