英文摘要
Pulp and paper is a key manufacturing industry in Canada. Rural areas from west to east coasts rely on this sector to thrive. The industry needs research and innovations to stay competitive in the world market. As a CRC in Pulp and Paper Science and Engineering my research will focus on value-added cellulose fiber applications, further development of pulp and paper manufacturing processes and integrated forest biorefinery processes. The research program includes strong training for graduate students and highly qualified personnel to excel in the industry. Through collaboration with industrial partners, discoveries made through research will be commercialized globally.
