Smart sensor systems have become ubiquitous and are now an integral part of our lives. From defense, to patient health monitoring, to smart grids - they are everywhere. This research program aims to address some fundamental research questions in signal processing that will spur the development of the next generations of sensor systems. The uniqueness of the approach lies in its ability to infer from a small number of data points. This research is highly relevant to Canadian economy and has the potential of putting Canadian companies in the position of global leadership in smart multi-sensor systems.
