Sensors are becoming increasingly ubiquitous, smarter and connected. Extracting information from varying sensors and varying quality data, preserving its privacy and integrity are daunting tasks. This research program will aim to enhance the quality and integrity, and preserve privacy, of the sensor data through novel data processing approaches. These approaches will be applicable to sensor systems ranging from monitoring technologies for aging in place to emerging quantum sensor systems (e.g. for use in the North). This research program will position Canadian companies as global leaders in emerging sensor systems and enhance the health, safety and security of Canadians.
