Autonomous truck systems are estimated to represent at $60B+ marketplace opportunity in North America. NuPort Robotics, based in Toronto, will work with Centennial College, a Canadian leader in training for truck and heavy equipment repair, on a technology development project to demonstrate integration of sensor and electronic control systems with RGB camera and LIDAR data on a commercial truck. This is an important step in the development of fully autonomous after-market truck systems. The project will enable NuPort to accelerate its technology development program, provide an opportunity for training highly qualified personnel, and contribute to the growth of the autonomous vehicle sector in Canada.
