英文摘要
One of the greatest challenges facing the world is to ensure enough freshwater to support our growing population. The Laurentian Great Lakes is the largest and arguably the most important freshwater system in the world, but its health is compromised by increasing environmental stressors. My research will focus on quantifying trophic interactions and fish movements across the Great Lakes to better understand the impact of our changing climate and landscape on food webs. Characterization of, and understanding the influence of, anthropogenic stress on food webs is essential for proper conservation and management and ultimately healthy and sustainable ecosystems.
