项目摘要
Modern medicine increasingly resorts to minimally invasive procedures which allowto improve patient safety and reduce hospitalization costs and recovery times. Onesuch embodiment are image-guided therapies, which improves a surgeon's orinterventional radiologist's ability to accurately reach targets such as tumors, usinghigh quality diagnostic imaging (morphology, metabolic, functional). To be effective,such procedures require efficient target identification in pre-procedural imaging,reliable device tracking and timely feedback during therapy delivery. The mainobjective of the proposed CRC will be to develop innovative methods and systemsfor image-guided interventions that will use artificial intelligence and smart devicesduring the cancer patient¿s care. Three complementary research themes will be explored: (a) tumor characterization and prediction of progression with deepradiomics, (b) smart medical devices for anatomical and physiological tracking, (c) real-time treatment modulation with physiological and optical image fusion.
