The objective of Dr.Dubrawski's CRC program is to improve ecological and human health in rural and Indigenous communities through: i) small-system specific technological innovation in drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment and resource recovery, and water quality monitoring; ii) building a Community Water Innovation Network on the interdisciplinary understanding, characterization, and governance of rural and Indigenous water systems. Specifically, Dr.Dubrawski's research program looks at: i) scaling up bioelectrochemical systems for sustainable water treatment; ii) building a technological and non-technological community-centric water characterization and management toolkit for Indigenous and rural communities; and iii) Exploring emerging water issues in rural and Indigenous communities.
