The ``Internet of Things'' will realize a world where we depend on computing devices every second of our lives. It is critical that end-users, who do not have access to source code and in some cases, do not even have access to software binaries, have techniques to verify the security and safety of the devices they use, rather than blindly place complete trust in the device vendors. This proposal seeks to develop such methods using a combination of dynamic test generation, machine learning and code analysis techniques.
