This proposal requests a replacement laser for our Coherent Enterprise 352 UV Ar ion laser used for for fundamental fluorescence spectroscopy, fluorescence microscopy, and time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) research and training for the past two decades. Our laser was commissioned in the late 1998 and achieved over 20,000 hours of beam time. In its last year we observed power fluctuations on numerous occasions, and eventually in late 2020 the unit became unable to lase. Technical inspection showed that the tube was no longer functioning after more than 2 decades of near daily use. This proposal is a request for replacement equipment.
