Our Virtual Reality Neuroregulation software (VR-NR) provides a PC-based immersive brain-computer interface via VR head-mounted display (Meta Quest 2) to enable regulation of EEG brain states measured through a wearable device (Muse EEG headband). We are also continuing to build the software to access other psychophysiological signals types, specifically, heart-rate variability measured via wearable EKG sensors (e.g., Polar H10). This innovative software solution will be of interest not only in healthcare applications including among registered biofeedback practitioners but also directly to those in the general public who are seeking ways to better themselves cognitively and emotionally. To our knowledge, we will be the first to marry the Muse EEG headband as a consumer wearable sensor technology to VR. The software will be of a great benefit to psychology and the life sciences in Canada and beyond.
