碎米藓科几乎是最小的侧蒴藓,常树生或石生,全球多样性以亚洲和非洲最高。由于缺乏统一而独特的形态特征,该科的形态界定一直存在争议。在前人的一系列形态研究中,该科包含的多个属被移出,目前只剩五个属,但是该科的定义问题依然未解决。有极少的分子系统学研究显示碎米藓科中只有Ischyrodon和碎米藓属聚在了一起,而其它属均相距甚远。但由于使用的DNA数据有限,且形态研究过于薄弱,导致这些属要么系统位置没有得到根本解决,要么缺乏充足的形态证据。碎米藓属拥有该科87%的物种,但因为长期缺乏研究,致使该属的物种划分很困难。主要表现是:原始描述中物种特征信息不完整,甚至是空白;后人模式考证严重不足,概念掌握不清晰;植物体型太小,特征变异大,不易掌握。综上所述,本项目计划利用形态大数据和目前最多的碎米藓科DNA数据,解决碎米藓属的种类分类和单系性问题以及阐明碎米藓科的形态界定。
英文摘要
Fabroniaceae is almost the smallest pleurocarpous mosses, often growing on trees or rocks, with the highest diversity in Asia and Africa. Due to the lack of consistent and unique morphological characters, the circumscription of the family has historically been controversial. In a series of morphological studies, many genera have been removed, and only five genera remain at present. However, the definition of Fabroniaceae is still unresolved. Recently, few molecular works have shown that only Ischyrodon form a clade with Fabronia, while other genera are all far apart. However, the systematic position of these genera either have not been fundamentally resolved or lack sufficient morphological evidence, because of limited DNA data or weak morphological studies. The genus Fabronia possesses 87% of the species in this family, but the species classification in this genus is very difficult due to the lack of revision for a long time. The main problems included: incomplete or even blank description of species in the original publication; insufficient type examination by the followers that result in unclear concept; too small plant size and large variation. Considering all the above, this project aims to use large morphological data and the most DNA data of Fabroniaceae so far, resolving the species taxonomy of Fabronia and the circumscription of Fabroniaceae, and testing the monophyly of Fabronia.
