辽代建筑的研究夙为中国乃至东亚建筑研究的重要领域，本项目接续“辽代建筑系列研究”“辽代建筑系列研究Ⅱ”课题的工作，旨在（一），在初步建立的信息采集、整理和表达技术以及工作组织和管理体系基础上，结合最新的技术手段，继续完成对辽代建筑全面系统的个案调查报告。（二）基于碳十四测年和年轮年代学方法的突破性进展，在对辽代建筑完整修建史的研究基础上，继续对辽代建筑开展多学科视野的专题研究，对 1 东亚视野下辽代建筑的形象及空间构成机制、2 佛教建筑的整体化设计理念、3 辽代木构建筑结构体系与抗震原理等问题加以阐述。进而为深入认识中国建筑的科技、艺术成就，为当代中国城市化背景下的建筑遗产保护工作，提供更充分的科学依据。

Study of Liao architecture has always been a very important part of Chinese architectural study as well as East Asian architectural study. This project is going to continue the former project, which is "Studies of Liao architecture", "Studies of Liao architecture Ⅱ" aiming .I. to collect, arrange and present materials with new techniques and methods, based on the working system of investigation of Liao architecture, continue publishing completed investigation report on different typical buildings..II.to initiate multi-discipline researches on Liao architecture, based on our research on 14C dating and dendrochronology science these years, we will initiate a research firstly on the specific history of construction in individual buildings, moreover, on 1 appearance and spatial composition of Liao architecture on East Asian scale; 2 the concept of integrated design of Buddhist architecture; 3 types and characters of Liao timber constructions; Therefore, to provide scientific evidences for a deeper understanding of scientific and art achievement of Chinese architecture, and for cultural heritage conservation under the background of urbanization of China.
