稳健的系统发育假说是类群物种多样性和进化历史研究的基础,其对于解决分类争议,理解演化历程和解析分化模式至关重要。山菀组植物(菊科紫菀属)具有药用经济价值,主要分布于喜马拉雅-横断山地区。由于快速辐射分化、形状复杂等因素,其关键的系统发育关系依然没有解决,澄清该类群诸如关键形态创新、生态位分化等问题,将对理解山菀组的系统演化和多样化形成具有重要的意义。本立项拟在前期研究的基础上,利用叶绿体全基因组和单(低)拷贝核基因,结合形态学(微形态学、解剖学)、分子系统学的分析方法,构建山菀组的高分辨率系统发育框架;在其框架背景清晰的基础上,结合文献、标本馆及野外考察等工作,完成该组分类学修订;此外,更基于分子钟的时间估算,探讨该组多样化速率在时空上的相关性,关键形态创新对地质气候变化的响应等。本项目的实施,将不仅增加我们对其系统发育关系的理解,而且为喜马拉雅地区菊科植物多样化的保护和维持提供理论依据。
英文摘要
The robust phylogenetic hypothesis is the foundation of the species diversity and the rich evolutionary history. It is also the key to resolving phylogenetic and taxonomic controversy and better understanding the mechanism of diversification. The Aster sect. Alpigeni (Asteraceae: Astereae) is distributed throughout the Himalaya-Hengduan mountains. Most species have important economical, medicinal and ecological values. Due to its possible rapid radiation and great morphological diversity, a robust phylogenetic estimate is still lacking for this group. It is well considered that the radiation is correlated with morphological innovations and ecological opportunities, however, the mechanism of diversification in sect. Alpigeni is still poorly understood. In this study, we aim to resolve these problems: 1) resolve deep phylogenetic relationships by analysis of morphology, anatomy, micromorphology, molecular systematics (e.g. chloroplast genome, single-/low-copy nuclear genes); 2) clarify the taxonomy and systematics problems on basis of reviewing literature, examination herbarium specimens, and extensive field study. Taxonomic revision will be conducted for these debatable taxa; 3) based on a robust time-calibrated phylogenetic hypothesis, we will explore the spatial and temporal diversification of Aster sect. Alpigeni, the mechanisms of rapid radiation and morphological innovation in the context of geological and climatic oscillations. To conclude, our results will gain better understanding of the rich evolutionary history and mechanism of diversification of Aster sect. Alpigeni. It will also provide the new perspective for the conservation and maintenance of the Asteraceae diversity.
