香料植物是丝绸之路上的主要贸易商品之一,具有重要的经济和药用价值。开展香料植物的民族植物学研究,符合现代社会需求和大健康产业的发展趋势。民族植物学对植物资源的开发和民族地区经济的发展有重要的促进作用,为有关人类安全和具有药理活性的药物筛选工作,提供了前所未有的新线索。中缅老热带地区是全球生物多样性研究热点地区之一,具有丰富的香料植物资源和文化多样性。本课题运用民族植物学基本原理,结合植物学、社会学、生态学和药理学等多学科交叉方法,以姜科、胡椒科、芸香科、樟科植物为关键类群,在中缅老热带关键地区,开展跨国境、跨民族、跨学科的香料植物民族植物学研究,完成该地区民族利用香料植物本底和传统知识抢救性编目,资源现状评估以及抗病毒、抗炎、抗肿瘤和抑菌等药理活性验证,可为中缅老三国天然香料产业可持续发展提供知识原型,为实施跨国境文化多样性和生物多样性保护,建设绿色“一带一路”提供基础数据和科学案例。
英文摘要
Spices derived from plants were one of the most famous international commodities along the Silk Road because of their extremely high economic values. Ethnobotany study on spice plant is a urgent need to feed the increasing demand of new spices in the world. Ethnobotany method has been proved to be highly effective for the plant resources application and the economic development of local society. Ethnobotany could also produce unprecedented leads for human safety and pharmacological activity related medicine screening. China, Myanmar and Laos tropical region is one of the global biodiversity hot spot with rich spice plant resources and diverse ethnic cultures. By using the interdisciplinary methods of ethnobotany, botany, sociology, ecology and pharmacology, this project aims at the discovery, protection, and application of ethnic spice plants in this region, with Zingiberaceae, Piperaceae, Lauraceae, and Rutaceae plants as key study groups. We will then complete the catalogue of spice plants used by different ethnic groups, rescue and record their traditional knowledge, and make resources assessment and evaluate its anti-virus, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and antimicrobial activities. In summary, this project would provide initial intellectual prototype for the sustainable development of natural spice industry in China, Myanmar and Laos, support the trans-boundary biodiversity and cultural diversity conservation, and provide decision-making consultation for the joint construction of a green "Belt and Road" along China, Myanmar and Laos with fundamental and scientific data.
