虫责亚科是襀翅目虫责科最大的亚科，是各类生态系统流水环境中最为常见的石蝇类群，同时也是一类重要的水环境质量评价的指示生物。目前，我国虫责亚科已知201种，占到该目已知种类的31%左右。然而，对鉴定该类群物种起决定作用的阳茎囊特征仍然未知的种类数量高达84种，稚虫和卵的形态学的研究几乎空白。由于该类群种类数量多，种群数量大，解剖难度高，开展基于COI基因的条形码研究对于该类群的非专业乃至专业鉴定均有重要意义。因此，我国该亚科的稚虫和卵形态学和分类厘定研究滞后的局面亟待改变。本项目拟对我国该类群昆虫的全虫态形态学进行详细研究，并结合COI条形码序列解决相似种和疑难种的鉴定和归属问题，此基础上以属为单位对其进行分类修订；该项目将为揭示虫责科高级分类阶元之间的系统演化关系提供更为翔实可靠的数据。研究结果对这一类群的保护和利用研究以及揭示其系统进化均具有重要的意义。

The subfamily Perlinae belongs to the stonefly family Perlidae, and it is usually associated with lotic water in various ecosystems and has been widely used as indicator for water quality monitoring. The subfamily presently includes 201 known Chinese species, which is nearly about one third of the known species of Plecoptera in China. However, the key characters for identification like the aedeagal sac of 84 species are still undescribed. And the knowledge on the species diversity in Chinese fauna is far from completed and the nymphal and egg morphology are still very poorly known up to date. The COI barcoding research is still not applied in the taxonomic study in China and it is essential due to the difficulties in everting the aedeagus for identification, high diversification and large samplings. Therefore, improvement of the systematic study on the holomorphology and taxonomic revision of the sbufamily in China is badly needed. The present project is to clarify the diversity and revise the taxonomic system of the subfamily from China including elucidating the classification of the closely related species and the problematic ones, on the basis of comprehensive analysis on both the holomorphology and COI sequencing data. The result of the project will be of great significance for the further research on the phylogentic relationships of the higher ranks of Perlidae and the conversation and utilization of the group.
