与全球主要国家相比中国制造业对外直接投资（OFDI）明显偏低。通过统计数据分析我们认为造成上述“谜团”原因是多数中国制造业企业选择了出口平台型OFDI方式，而不是生产制造型OFDI。针对此反常现象本课题系统探讨了中国企业OFDI方式、进入模式选择、国际化进程和不同OFDI模式的“逆向溢出效应”。通过本课题的研究我们试图回答以下4方面的问题。第一，基于企业“特定垄断优势”视角解释为何多数中国企业偏好出口平台型OFDI。第二，基于企业投资策略探讨国外市场不确定性如何影响中国企业的OFDI模式选择。第三，基于发展中国家和新兴市场背景探索决定中国企业阶梯式国际化进程的理论机理和成因。第四，企业OFDI模式差异如何影响“逆向溢出效应”，即生产率效应、贸易效应、投资和就业效应。本课题试图阐明决定中国企业OFDI方式、模式选择和国际化进程的理论机理以及不同OFDI模式下的“逆向溢出效应”差异。

Comparing with other countries, the ratio of OFDI in Chinese manufacturing industry is relatively low. By analyzing the data, we find that the reason is due to large fraction of firms in manufacturing sector choosing OFDI with exporting platform. Why firms prefer exporting platform to manufacturing. This is a controversy puzzle. This project is going to investigate choosing mode, optimal internationalization of Chinese OFDI, and the difference of spillover of different OFDI mode. By exploring the subject, we try to deeply explain 4 issues. First, basing the theory of specific advantage of monopoly, the project aim to answer the question which is why so many firms choose exporting platform. Second, using strategy of optimal investment, we try to investigate the impact of market uncertainty on rational mode of OFDI. Third, as developing country and emerging market this subject target to find the mechanism which determines the pattern of internationalization about Chinese firms. Forth, we examine the difference of spillover of different OFDI mode. Through completing the project, we provide some basic theory and policy to guild gout of Chinese firms in future.
