A new depolymerizing waste PET method is adopted ,in the condition of uniting ethandiol and Luis alkali,making the PET be depolymerized quickly and completely to be TPA and EG within 40 minutes ,at 180℃ and on normal atmosphere pressure with common chemical engineering equipments. The depolymerization rate exceeds 99% and recovery rates reach 97%(TPA) and 95%(EG) respectively. Purification of EG is conducted only through distillation. But for TPA, all inpurity can be naturally separated during the posterior process. Among the whole processes, only depolymerizing PET is the pivotal chemical step, and the others ,such as the separating and purification of final products, can be consider as simply physical processes. Therefore this method is more simple and reliable,with lower cost and less investment. Waste PET can be reutilized in a small way or on a large scale . It provide a new way suitable for the situation of our country , to solve the problems of white pollution caused by waste PET and saving petroleum resources.
