环南海区域是我国“一带一路”战略的重中之重。沿岸港口作为“21世纪海上丝绸之路”的支点，深入理解其在不同时期的发展历程及其与内陆地区的相互作用，对于区域经济整合和对外经济决策具有重要意义。本项目以环南海区域22个典型港口城市为研究区，以临港区域为研究对象，以五个典型年份为代表，将传统的自然地理条件和土地利用信息与交通联运网络和物流网络相结合，采用定性及定量分析方法研究港口-临港区域的空间演化过程，以揭示不同时期的演化规律。此外，本项目拟从全球、跨国区域、国家和地方多个尺度的政策、贸易环境、社会经济发展角度，综合分析港口-临港区域时空演变的动力机制。通过对比分析不同港口-临港区域的发展阶段，本项目将综合评价环南海区域典型港口城市在全球贸易网络中的功能、影响范围和发展潜力。本项目的开展能够为我国制定与东南亚各国/地区之间在经贸网络交流、基础设施建设合作等方面的相关政策提供理论依据。

Area surrounding the South China Sea is the top priority of China's "Belt and Road" strategy, and coastal ports are fulcrums of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road". Understanding of their development in different periods and their interaction with inland areas is of great significance for regional economic integration and foreign economic decision-making. This project takes 22 typical port cities around the South China Sea as the research area and studies the port-city-interface in 5 typical years. It combines traditional natural geographical conditions and land use information with the transportation intermodal network and logistics network, and uses qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to study the spatial evolution process of the port-port area to reveal the evolution law in different periods. In addition, this project intends to comprehensively analyze the dynamic mechanism of the spatio-temporal evolution of the port-city-interface from the perspectives of policy, trade environment, and socio-economic development at global, trans-national, national, and local scales. By comparing and analyzing the development stages of different port-port regions, this project will comprehensively evaluate the functions, impact scope and development potential of typical port cities in the South China Sea region in the global trade network. The implementation of this project can provide a theoretical basis for China to formulate relevant policies on economic and trade network exchanges and infrastructure construction cooperation with Southeast Asian countries / regions.
