在日常生活中,我们每时每刻都享受着互联网大数据带来的各种便利,譬如医疗大数据让我们更了解各种疾病相关的信息。但是,在互联网上,过多的数据与信息分享势必造成个人信息的暴露,而这并不是我们所期望的。多层社会网络研究(multi-layered social network analysis)是指把多个不同类型的社会网络作为一个整体来分析。另一方面,隐私的保障对推动多层社会网络的发展具有重大意义。我们目前已知的研究要么是单层社会网络的隐私保护、要么就是没有隐私的多层社会网络研究,同时兼顾隐私和多层社会网络的研究仍处于空白阶段。. 本项目建议填补该研究领域的空白,提出使用运筹学、计算机仿真、和统计分析等方法来建立并分析有关多层社会网络在隐私保护条件下的理论模型与其特性,并探索其在关键问题上的实际应用。同时我们会与Hylink Inc.合作收集数据、探讨多层社会网络的应用场景、测试和验证研发结果等。
英文摘要
Almost everyone appreciates more or less the benefits brought from the big data and internet era. For example, people wish to learn about someone else’s treatment experience/outcome of a certain disease because such experience could be helpful in making a treatment decision. However, on the contrary almost no patient is happy with exposing his/her identity to the world when sharing his/her treatment experience. .Multi-layered social network analysis is to analyze multiple single-layered social networks together as a whole system. In one hand, preserving privacy will have a profound impact to the development of multi-layered social networks. However, we cannot find any existing research that considers privacy preserving in multi-layered social networks. The studies we found are either multi-layered social network without privacy or single-layered social networks with privacy. . This project proposes to fill this research gap. We propose to use methods from operations research, agent-based simulation, and statistical analysis to build a foundation for the modeling and analysis of multi-layered social network with privacy preserving. We will develop estimation for important properties of multi-layered social networks and explore application (i.e., key player problem) under privacy preservation. .In addition, we will work closely with our industrial partner, Hylink Digital Laboratory, Inc., to collect multi-layered social network data, identify future applications, test and validate our research results.
