滨海盐沼湿地是沿海地区可持续发展的重要生物资源和生态安全屏障,黄河三角洲作为我国暖温带最完整的湿地生态系统,近40年来,在高强度的人类活动和气候变化的双重胁迫下,其盐沼植物群落退化严重(超过75%)。如何更好地保护滨海盐沼动植物群落的生物多样性已成为该区域亟待解决的重要生态问题。本项目立足于滨海盐沼动植物环境适应性的学术前沿热点,面向我国滨海盐沼生物多样性保护的重要实践需求,针对黄河三角洲植食性昆虫暴发导致盐沼植被退化的实际问题,在环境变化的背景下,从多营养级联的角度入手,聚焦“盐沼植物-植食性昆虫-天敌能否适应快速变化的环境?”的关键科学问题,开展多学科交叉的野外监测和室内模拟实验,系统阐明盐沼植物-植食性昆虫-天敌多营养级联对环境变化的适应性机制。研究将为解决黄河三角洲面临的实际生态问题提供基础数据和理论依据,为提高我国滨海盐沼生物多样性的保护工作做出切实贡献。
英文摘要
Coastal salt marsh provides important biological resources and ecological security barrier for sustainable development in coastal areas. The Yellow River Delta as the most complete wetland ecosystem in the temperate zone of China its plant community has been degreded over 75% under intense anthropogenic activities and climate change in the last four decades. How do we better conserving the biodiversity of plants and animals in the coastal salt marsh has risen as an ecological issue. This project is based on the cutting edge of plants and animals in response to environmental change in the coastal salt marsh, and aimed at addressing the strategic needs for the biodiversity conservation of coastal salt marsh in China. The project addresses the ecological problems of vegetation degradation caused by insect herbivores outbreaking in the Yellow River Delta. From the perspective of multitrophic interactions, the project addressing a key scientific question as follows: "can salt marsh plant-herbivore-natural enemy multitrophic interactions adapt to the rapidly changing environment?". we will conduct several field and lab experiments in order to systematically elucide the adaptive mechanism of plant-herbivore-natural enemy multitrophic interactions under environmental changes in the coastal salt marsh of Yellow River Delta. The project will provide valuable data and theoretical basis for solving the ecological problems in the Yellow River Delta, as well as improve the biodiversity conservation of coastal salt marsh in China.
