回族是国际上少数族群跨文化实践和宗教本土化的成功典范。拟申请项目把黄河流域看作是多民族文化交融的重要区域，聚焦散杂居民族社区跨文化空间实践及地方意义表征的理论建构和典型案例研究，以文化空间、地方性、地方意义表征、日常生活实践、主体性与身份认同等相关概念理论为基础，以地理学、民族学等多学科交叉为视角，跨学科构建突出主体性和时空敏感性的跨文化空间实践及地方意义表征的解释框架，跨时空呈现黄河流域散杂居回族社区跨文化实践的地理特征、区域差异及地方性形成机制，多尺度展现散杂居回族的主体性特征对跨文化空间、地方、景观及地理要素的感知体验与生产建构的作用机制，多维度分析散杂居回族对跨文化空间的地方意义表征及回族群体的身份建构。探索散杂居地区民族文化多样保护及多民族文化区域管治的路径，提出推动中国散杂居民族文化交往、交流和交融的战略路径。

The Hui people is one of the successful ethnic minorities of international trans-cultural practice and religious localization in the world. The project regards the Yellow River Basin as an important area for multi-ethnic cultural integration, and focus on theoretical construction and empirical case studies of the production of trans-cultural spatial practice of ethnic minority communities and the representation of local meaning. Based on the conceptual theories of cultural space, local meaning representation, placeness, daily life practice, subjectivity and identity, highlighting the cross-disciplinary intersection of geography and ethnology, the project comprehensively constructs a human-centered and space-time sensitive trans-cultural spatial practice and cultural representation. The project intends to demonstrate the geographical characteristics, regional difference and locality formation mechanism of trans-cultural integration of mixed Hui communities in the Yellow River basin across time and space, and present the perception, experience, production and construction of space, place, landscape and geographical elements of different Hui cultural groups for the trans-cultural spatial practice under the mixed geographical context. Based on this, the project try to analyse the local meaning representation of trans-cultural space in the mixed Hui communities, and identity construction of different Hui ethnic group from multiple dimensions. Exploring the path of protecting the diversity of ethnic culture and governing the multi-ethnic culture regions should be put in an important position, so as to promote the strategic path of cultural exchanges and integration of mixed inhabitants in China.
