大同火山是研究中国新生代陆内火山动力学机制和华北克拉通中部岩石圈活化、减薄机制的天然实验室。本项目计划在大同火山区通过新布设和已有的地震台站,组建覆盖宽频带-中频带-短周期不同频段约300多个地震台的密集观测台阵,利用背景噪声波形伴随成像方法构建大同火山高分辨率的地壳和上地幔顶部三维速度结构。围绕两个科学问题(1)大同火山中下地壳和上地幔顶部是否存在部分熔融,(2)是否存在岩浆从上地幔顶部向中下地壳输运的通道,重点研究大同火山的地壳和上地幔顶部岩浆系统和岩浆来源,为大同火山的演化和动力学成因提供观测证据。
英文摘要
The Datong volcanoes, located at the northeastern margin of the Ordos block, are the largest Quaternary intraplate volcanic areas in China. Datong volcanoes provide a natural laboratory for understanding the dynamic mechanisms for intraplate volcanism and the reworking of Archean lithosphere. In the proposed work, high-density seismic array survey will be carried out in Datong volcanoes with a total of 300 seismic stations, including the intermediate-band, broadband, and short-period seismic stations. We will employ the newly developed ambient noise adjoint tomography to obtain the high resolution crustal and uppermost mantle 3-D velocity model of Datong volcanoes. Our proposal will focus on revealing the melting source and magmatic plumbing system of Datong volcanoes, which will shed light on the understanding the dynamics for the origin of the Datong volcanism.
