本课题以1950-1990年代引进的以建筑学基本问题为核心、对中国建筑实践产生了重要影响的三种建筑理论——表意性、本体性和技术性建筑理论——为切入点，关联性考查这些理论在源语境中的内涵与实践，在中国语境下的转译与重释，及它们在实践中的运用及反馈。基于源理论引进、转译、实践三个环节的不同问题，通过针对性地运用文本分析、跨文化比较、田野调查、定量与定性相结合等研究方法，系统地梳理意义表征、本体构筑和技术运用等“普适性”建筑问题与实践中的中国问题的结合中，理论转译和实践重构的历史流变；提炼其在设计理念、设计方法和建造方式上的创造性；揭示其对建筑理论问题的贡献，及中国建筑理论的构建方式与特点；并在与源语境实践的横向比较和中国语境中的历史比较中，总结引进与“本地化”过程中的得失和存在问题，建立理性评价引进理论的有效性和适用性的方式，为未来建筑理论的引进的科学性提供理论基础与导向参照。

This research project will focus on three kinds of imported architectural theories, theories on expression of meanings, theories on essential issues of architectural design and theories on technology, which are all the basic issues of architecture as a discipline and have had profound effect in Chinese architecture from 1950s to 1990s, and will study correlation of the origins of the imported theories, their translation in Chinese context and their application and influence in architectural practice of China and reflection raised from it during the period. In regard to different problems, it will use different research methods to systematically investigate the way in which the ‘universal’ architectural questions combined with those in reality of China, outline a historical transition of the translation and application activities, identify the creativities in design ideas, methods and construction in the process, reveal their contributions to the questions of architectural theories, and the patterns and characteristics in which architectural theory in China was formulated. And through comparing the practices in China with those in the original contexts where the theories were generated, it will examine the gains and losses in the translation and application process, evaluate the validity and problems, in order to provide a theoretical basis and reference for such kind of importation in the future.
