In light of the fact that few study on the ecological safety of transgenic rice with Bt gene (Bt rice) is conducted, impacts of Bt rice on the parasitized behavior and ability, embrogenesis, postembrogenesis, population dynamics of superior parasitise species of striped stem borer (SSB), Chilo suppressalis, and on sub-community structure of parasitises in rice paddy habitat were systematically evaluated. Then the reason why Bt rice performed marked or negligible effect on parasities of SSB were analyzed and defined. Meanwhile, impacts of Bt rice on arthropod community structure, sub-community and the dominator population dynamics of Bt rice non-target herbivore insects, sub-community structure and the dominator population dynamics of insect predators, sub-community structure and the dominator population dynamics of spiders, the habitat selectivity of spiders in rice ecosystem as well as the predation, growth, development and reproduction of some domination spiders were evaluated. In addition, effects of Bt rice on the oviposition behavior of Bt rice target pests such as SSB were also evaluated. It was clear that Bt rice acted no maeked effect on the egg parasitises of SSB, while showed negative effect on the larval parasitise, resulting in the obvious decrease of their population density in the rice paddy. In general, Bt rice showed negligible effects on arthropod community structure, sub-community structure and the dominator population dynamics of insect predators, sub-community structure and the dominator population dynamics of spiders, the habitat selectivity of spiders in rice ecosystem as well as the predation, growth, development and reproduction of some domination spiders. In contrast, Bt rice may performed significant effects on sub-community and the dominator population dynamics of Bt rice non-target herbivore insects such as rice planthoppers, and the oviposition behavior of Bt rice target pests such as SSB in some cases. These results not only provided the important database to comprehensivly analyze the ecological risk of Bt rice, but also provided the useful scientific information to appropriately utilize Bt rice and to effectively practise the integrated control of Bt rice non-target pests.
