城市群作为国民经济发展的引擎,是当前国家大力推动“区域协调发展新机制”的重要抓手。深入研究城市群内的经济溢出效应是实现区域协调发展的重要途径,兼具着重要的科学意义和现实意义。当前城市群内经济溢出效应研究在溢出效应空间检测单元细化、溢出效应空间分布刻画、溢出效应影响因素分析等方面存在不足。针对这些问题,本项目拟利用长时间序列夜间灯光遥感数据在刻画人类社会经济活动时空强度方面的优势,在重建高质量夜间灯光时间序列数据的基础上,探索城市群内多尺度的经济溢出效应检测方法、溢出效应的空间模式及其对城市扩张的影响,并借助复杂网络模型分析城市群内相互作用网路、溢出关系网络及其相互关系,在此基础上对影响溢出效应的因素进行深入分析,以期为“协调发展”理念的贯彻落实提供理论支撑和科学指导。

China is currently boosting its new urbanization plan under the idea of "coordinated development". Development of urban agglomerations is one of the key jobs in the urbanization progress. Meanwhile, the spillover effect is a crucial element that affects regional equilibrium. In-depth researches on the spillover effect of urban agglomerations will help further understanding of the mechanisms of urban agglomerations' spatial evolution and their internal interconnection, which may facilitate scientific planning of urban agglomerations, as well as healthy development of the new urbanization plan. Studies on the spillover effect usually use statistic and/or census data, which are limited to administrative units and lack spatial details. These shortages make it difficult to analyze causes and mechanism of the spillover effect. The nighttime light time series data recorded rich spatial-temporal information on human activities, therefore has been widely used in many studies related to social economy phenomenon. Few of them, however, have focused on analysis of the spillover effect. In this project, we will develop a method to quantitatively detect the spillover effect both inside and among the cities of urban agglomerations in China, based on reconstructed DMSP/OLS night-time light time series data, which would be properly processed to reduce both the saturation problem and the blooming effect. A complex network will be built on the basis of multi-source data to depict the interactions among cities of different levels and their relationships with the spillover effect. Analysis and discussion on the causes and mechanism of the spillover effect will then be further performed. Results of this project will provide theoretical supports and scientific guidance to the implementation of the "coordinated development".
