中国及喜马拉雅地区毛茛属（毛茛科）的分类学研究

毛茛属(毛茛科)全世界约600种。一些种类具药用或园艺价值。我国及喜马拉雅地区为该属重要的物种多样性中心，但目前其分类远不能令人满意，许多分类群的界定很不清楚，标本鉴定困难。本项目拟利用多学科手段对我国及喜马拉雅地区的毛茛属进行种级水平的分类修订。我们拟将文献考证、标本查阅、野外考察和实验室研究紧密结合起来，针对具潜在分类学价值的宏观和微观性状进行深入研究，仔细分析各性状的变异式样，确定性状的分类学价值，据以划分分类实体，并结合地理分布和生境资料，给予各实体合理的分类等级，最后对所有分类群的名称(包括异名)的模式进行考证和进行必要的后选模式指定，以保证名称的正确应用，从而全面完成我国及喜马拉雅地区毛茛属种级水平的分类修订。本项目将为今后开展我国及喜马拉雅地区毛茛属的进化生物学和生物地理学等方面的研究奠定基础，也将为植物资源的的合理利用和有效保护及《泛喜马拉雅植物志》毛茛属的编研提供资料。

Ranunculus L. is the largest genus of the Ranunculaceae, with ca. 600 species recognized. Some species of the genus can be medicinally or horticulturally used. China and the neighboring Himalayan region constitute a most important center of species diversity of the genus. The classification of the Chinese and Himalayan taxa, however, is far from satisfactory, and numerous species and varieties are poorly defined, resulting in much trouble in specimen identification. In this project, we will carry out a thorough species-level revision of Ranunculus from China and Himalayas using an integrative, multidisciplinary approach. We will first make a survey of all the relevant literature and herbarium specimens, and then conduct extensive field observations and investigations of all the potentially useful macro- and micro-characters. Moreover, we will carefully analyze the variation pattern of all these characters and determine their taxonomic value. Furthermore, we will define taxonomic entities in line with the results of character analyses and, together with geographical and ecological data, give these entities reasonable taxonomic status. Finally, we will critically examine the type material of all the relevant names (including synonyms) at specific and varietal levels to guarantee the correct application of the names. This project will build a solid foundation for future investigations on the evolutionary biology and biogeography of Ranunculus in China and the Himalayan region, and will also provide reliable basic data for the utilization and protection of the germplasm resources of the genus, and for the preparation of an account of this genus in the ongoing Flora of Pan-Himalaya.
