异丽金龟族（Anomalini）隶属鞘翅目，金龟科，丽金龟亚科，世界已知60属约2300种，是丽金龟亚科最大的族，我国记录19属461种，占中国丽金龟种类的92%。异丽金龟全部为植食性，有群聚暴食的特点，很多种类是重要的农林业害虫，也有些种类是重要检疫性害虫，因此开展该类群的分类研究对生产实际具有重要指导意义。异丽金龟族种类多，外部形态趋同严重，导致的问题包括：可用属征少，属间界限不清，新组合和同异名频繁发生；大属和特大属现象严重，且多无亚属划分，大属种类鉴定困难；专家分歧严重，属级异名多。因此亟待开展对异丽金龟族属级阶元的研究工作。本项目将在大量检视属级模式和属级异名模式标本的基础上，开展中国异丽金龟族的属级修订工作，并利用现代形态学方法定量获取和分析形态特征，实现对属级阶元类群全面、准确地认识，丰富我国和世界区系，为进一步修订中国异丽金龟族种级阶元及丽金龟亚科分类问题奠定基础。

Anomalini is the biggest tribe of subfamily Rutelinae, belonging to Scarabaeidae of the order Coleoptera. Up to now, there are 60 genera and 2300 species in the world. Among them, 19 genera and 461 species are recorded in China. Anomalini are phytophagous with swarm behavior. Many of them are important agricultural pests (ex. Anomala corpulenta) and quarantine pests (ex. Popillia japonica). Therefore, the taxonomic study on Anomalini is economically important to agriculture, forestry, quarantine control, etc. There are several taxonomical problems in tribe Anomalini because of interspecific similarity, which are (1) lacking of practical genus-level characters and unclear of genus definition which lead many new combination, new homonyms and synonyms; (2) none subgenus dividing in some very large genera which lead the great difficulty in some very large genera; (3) many genus synonyms and different classification systems proposed by different experts. Thus, it is urgent to begin the work on genus-level research on the tribe of Anomalini. By examining a plenty of type specimens of genus type species and using modern morphological methods, we will focus on genus-level revision work of tribe Anomalini from China and evaluate the genus-level characters. Moreover, the comprehensive knowledge of this group will be created in a new way. The available data will be provided for the future revision work of the subfamily Rutelinae.
