气候环境变化对人类的影响及人类的适应不仅是地球科学和生命演化领域的基础前沿命题,而且涉及应对气候变化等紧迫社会需求。我国青藏高原区域高寒缺氧、资源稀缺,对该区早期人类活动及其古环境背景研究为揭示早期人类对极端气候环境的适应提供了理想的场景。研究表明,色林错流域可能保存了晚更新世以来(~5万年)多期的古人类生存活动记录。因此,本项目拟对色林错流域古人类不同时期的古湖岸线、古人类遗址地层和湖相沉积地层开展系统地年代学、沉积-地球化学研究和古气候条件-生态环境定量化重建,建立该地区湖泊演化历史,揭示其与全球气候变化的可能联系,以及对早期人类活动的影响;同时,结合古人类的食物组成结构研究,开展色林错流域晚更新世以来人群的生计模式模拟,揭示古人类对高原极端气候环境适应的过程和动力学机制。
英文摘要
The impact of climate changes on human and his adaptation is not only a fundamental frontier in the field of earth science and life evolution, but also involves urgent social needs associated with climate change. The Tibetan Plateau is the highest and, arguably, most challenging environment inhabited by humans due to its perennial cold temperatures, low biomass productivity, and the dangers of hypoxia caused by low air pressure and atmospheric oxygen deficiency. However, it is provide an ideal scene for exploring the human adaptation of to extreme weather conditions by studying the relationship of early human occupation and paleoenvironmental changes in the region. Previous Studies have shown that the Siling Co watershed may have preserved a large number of records of human occupation and colonization since the late Pleistocene (~50,000 years). Therefore, in this this project we aim to reconstructing the lake levels fluctuations, and detecting its responses to the global climate changes and its influences on human colonization during the late Pleistocene, based on systematic geochronological and sedimentary-geochemical studies, as well as the quantitative reconstruction of paleoclimatic and paleoecological changes. In addition, we would like to do some simulation on the human adaption to deeply reveal the process and dynamic mechanism of human adaptation to the extreme climate of the plateau during the past 50,000 years by combing the studies on the quantitative reconstruction of paleoclimatic and paleoecological changes and on human food resources.
