Stable Chlorine Isotopes in Hydrothermal Processes

PI建议继续应用Cl同位素研究来评估几种不同环境下矿化流体的来源。提出了进一步的工作：(1)改进样品制备和分析方法；(2)评估密西西比河谷型矿床（Elmwood- Gordonsville）中Cl同位素组成的变化作为共生阶段的函数；(3)研究两个斑岩铜矿（Silver Bell和Bingham）中生物与热液流体之间的Cl同位素分选。

The PI's proposed continued applications of Cl isotopic studies to evaluation of sources of mineralizing fluids in several different environments. Further work is proposed (1) to improve methods of sample preparation and analysis, (2) to evaluate variation of Cl isotopic composition as a function of paragenetic stage in a Mississippi Valley type ore deposit (Elmwood- Gordonsville) and (3) to investigate Cl isotopic fractionation between biotities and hydrothermal fluids from two porphyry copper deposits (Silver Bell and Bingham).
