Special Graduate Student Education and Research Award

参加国家科学基金会-90财政年度少数民族研究生奖学金竞赛的申请者，如获“荣誉奖”，并以计算机科学/工程专业研究生的身份在一所大学注册，则有资格向中国教育与研究理事会申请研究生教育与研究特别奖。这些学生就读的11所大学将获得每所6,000美元的奖励，以帮助这些学生的教育和研究。学生们将从每个奖项中获得5000美元。这些奖项旨在为那些被认为有资格获得少数族裔研究生奖学金，但由于缺乏资金而无法获得奖学金的学生提供特别鼓励。

Applicants to the NSF fiscal year 1989-90 Minority Graduate Fellowship competition who were given "Honorable Mention", and who enrolled as graduate students in Computer Science/Engineering at a university, were eligible to apply to the CISE Directorate for a Special Graduate Student Education and Research Award. Eleven universities attended by these students are being provided awards of $6,000 each to assist the students with their education and research. The students will receive $5,000 of each award. These awards are designed to provide special encouragement to students who were judged worthy of a Minority Graduate Fellowship, but who, for lack of funds could not be awarded one.
