Base Isolation: Fresh Insight

在基础隔震机构中，增加阻尼并不一定是有益的。在本项目中，将对由多曲率底座和滚柱支撑组成的独立于阻尼的隔震方案进行分析研究。采用这种隔震方案的多自由度剪力建筑模型将被用于分析研究，以验证其有效性。将所提方案的隔震效果与传统的在隔震装置中使用阻尼器的方案进行了比较。

In the base isolation mechanisms increased damping is not necessarily beneficial. In this project, a damping-independent seismic isolation scheme consisting of a pedestal with multi- curvature geometry and roller supports will be analytically examined. The multi-degree-of-freedom shear building models with this isolation scheme will be utilized in the analytical study to demonstrate its effectiveness. The isolation effectiveness of the proposed scheme will be compared with those of the conventional schemes which use damping in their isolation devices.
