GRK 638: Nonlinearity and Nonequilibrium in Condensed Matter

研究训练小组的目的是研究凝聚态物质中的非线性和非平衡效应，以及利用非线性动力学方法来理解分子结构和分析生物医学信号。非线性动力学的概念和方法的中心问题将在跨学科合作中进行研究。除了对非线性动力学过程的理解，研究还应该导致应用。与研究计划联合的是一个教学计划，在跨学科课程中提供关于非线性和非平衡效应的知识。研讨会和讲习班将使研究培训小组的成员能够在跨学科的创造性氛围中在实际领域执行研究项目，并加强应用观点。

The aim of the research training group is the study of effects ofnonlinearity and nonequilibrium in condensed matter and theuse of methods of the nonlinear dynamics for the understanding ofthe structure of molecules and for the analysis of biomedical signals.Central questions of concepts and methods of the nonlineardynamics will be studied in an interdisciplinary cooperation. Besidesan understanding of nonlinear-dynamic processes, the research shouldlead to applications. Joint with the research program is a teachingprogram offering, in interdisciplinary courses, knowledge aboutnonlinear and nonequilibrium effects. Seminars and workshops willenable the members of the research training group to perform researchprojects in actual fields in an interdisciplinary, creative atmosphere and to strengthen the point of view of applications.
