Application of the Thüringer Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Jena for publication grants concerning the book

With the publication of this third volume of the series "Die Handschriften der Thüringer Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Jena" the cataloguing of the mediaeval manuscripts of the ThULB will be completed. The two DFG-funded previous volumes (published 2002 and 2009) deal with the previously known Latin manuscripts of the ThULB, especially the ¿Electoralis¿ group. The present third volume ¿ not written as part of a DFG-funded project ¿ contains descriptions of the remaining 28 mediaeval manuscripts of the ThULB. The main concern is a group of 15 illuminated french manuscripts of the former Wittenberg Bibliotheca Electoralis which had been possessed by famous personalities (e.g. Duc de Berry). In the catalogue entries the expertises of renowned European researchers are included. In addition, seven Latin, three Italian and two German manuscripts and a Middle Dutch manuscript are catalogued.
