Arelationship study between the automatically estimated occlusal contact-area and the occlusal plaque index.

92名儿童（7岁）在这项研究中进行了检查。结果发现，两组儿童第一恒磨牙的牙菌斑指数（OPI）、接触面积指数（OCAI）均呈显著性下降，OCAI均呈显著性上升。OPI与OCAI呈高度相关，提示咀嚼时牙菌斑可通过乳牙的接触而清除。

92 children(seven years old) were examined in in this study. DMFindex, occlusal plaque index(OPI) and occlusal contact-area index(OCAI) of their first permanent molar were evaluated.Same children were repeatedly examined sfter two yearsStatisticaly significant decreas in mean OPI and increase in mean OCAI were found amang this two years. And high correlation coefficient was detected between OPI and OCAIThese redsult suggested that the plaque on the occlusal surface will removed by the contact of opposit teth in mastication.
