Intellectual base for the Reception of western legal system in modern Japan

近代日本对西方法律制度的接受主要基于前近代（江户时代）的政治和法律知识。本研究主要通过对近代早期冲绳刑法典编纂的反思，对这种思想延续进行更具体、更准确的分析。它也成功地展示了一种19世纪东亚法律比较新方法的潜力。

The Reception of western legal system in modern Japan largely based on both political and legal intellect which were major in pre-modern era(Edo-era). This research aims at more concrete and precise analysis of such intelectual continuation, and achieved effectively mainly by reflections on a penal law codification in early modern Okinawa. It also succsessfully shows a potential for a new method of east-asian legal comparisons in the 19 century.
