Establishment of smallholder's cassava production systems in Cameroon

在喀麦隆国际热带农业研究所的合作下，在喀麦隆东部的一个村庄试验了引进改良木薯品种。参与式研究结果表明，改良品种的产量比地方品种高一倍，但干燥工艺质量较差。这些成果已转交给日本科技厅/日本国际协力事业团SATREPS方案，并开辟了一条途径，通过对木薯生产、加工和销售的实际研究，为农民的福利作出贡献。

Introduction of improved cassava varieties were tested in a village of eastern Cameroon with collaboration of IITA-Cameroon. The results showed that improved varieties showed double yields of local varieties, but were less qualified in drying process through participatory studies. Suchresults were transmitted to a JST/JICA SATREPS program and opened a way to contribute to the welfare of farmers through practical studies on cassava production, processing and marketing.
