Development of Ligand-tethered Cu-responsive protein labeling chemical tool for visualizing Cu-release at synaptic cleft

This year, several cuprous-ion-responsive protein labeling reagents (CuRs) have been synthesized, and the chemical structure has been optimized. The cuprous ions-responsive reactions of the optimal CuR have also been studied and validated by HPLC analysis. Moreover, the capability of CuR to label and profile proteins in response to cuprous ions in multiple living cell systems has also been confirmed by western blotting, imaging, and proteomics analysis.
