Integrative studies on acclimatization mechanism to extreme hypoxia in Tibet Himalaya: A joint project of Kyoto and Chiba University

在喜马拉雅地区进行了医学野外研究，以研究极端低氧的习服机制。本年度的项目如下。1)从4月到6月，探险队成功地到达了山顶。在MuztagAta（7546米）进行了生理和免疫学检查的调查，并从成员中采集了血液样本。2)8月至9月，派一个小组前往尼泊尔进行流行病学研究。3)在西藏地区进行了为期一年的流行病学调查。4)在名古屋大学的减压室中进行了攀登的后效检查。

Medical filed-researches were carried out in Himalaya for studying the acclimatization mechanisms to extreme hypoxia. The projects of the year are listed as follows. 1) From April to June, the expedition party succeeded to reach to the top of Mt. MuztagAta (7546m) and carried out the survey of physiological and immunological examination in addition to getting the blood samples from the members. 2) From August to September, a party sent to Nepal for the epidemiological study. 3) Throughout a year, epidemiological studies were done in Tibet area. 4) The after effects of climbing was checked in a decompression chamber in Nagoya Univ.
