Study for Standard Rainfall Information obsereved by Radar

我们在1992年制定了一种标准的雷达便携格式(RAP格式)。该格式包括雷达数据的文件格式和数据文件的检索格式。现在，我们正在利用RAP格式为公共领域实现以下几种程序：1)用FORTRAN源代码实现主机的翻译和基本分析库；2)将磁带上记录的雷达数据翻译成RAP格式的程序和适用于Apple Macintosh和NEC PC-9801.3的雷达数据浏览器；3)斯塔顿计算机公司的AVS模块；我们计划在其他计算机上实现以下程序和库：1)基于VGA和Windows的IBM-PC雷达数据浏览器。2)用C或C++源代码在Unix上实现雷达数据浏览器和基本分析库。这个RAP格式的项目还在进行中。我们希望这种格式能被使用天气雷达的研究人员广泛使用。

A Standard Radar Portable Format (RAP format) is made by us in 1992.This RAP format consists of the file format for data made by radar and the file format for retrieving the data file.Now, we are implementing some kinds of program by using RAP format for public domain as follows :1) Translation and basic analysis libraries for main frame by FORTRAN source code.2) Translator from radar data recorded in tape to RAP format and radar data browser for Apple Macintosh and NEC PC-9801.3) Some kinds of Module for AVS by Stardent Computer INC.And we are planning to implement some programs and libraries for other computers as follows :1) Radar data browser for IBM-PC with VGA and Windows.2) Translation and basic analysis libraries for Unix by C or C++ source code.This project for RAP format is still going. We hope this format to be widely used by researchers using weather radars.
