A Study on the Establishment of the Uji-kabane System and the Lists

Studies on the Uji-Kabane System are important in order to make the political structure of the Yamato Dynasty in ancient Japan clear. THe establishment of the Uji-Kabane System has close relationship with that of the Bemin "*" System. This Bemin System was established on the historical premise that there was the Hito "*" System in the fifth century. I examined the results of current studies and the problems on the basis of the historical prosess like these. As the historical materials, I compiled the materials of epigraph before and afteer the establishment of the Uji-Kabane System and the documentary catalogs of main studies on Nihonshoki "*" and Kojiki "*" since the war.The Uji-Kabane was established by taking the following three steps. The first step is the Hito System in "*" of the signature on the iron sword exacavated at the tumulus "Inariyama kofun" or "*" of the signature on the big sword excavated at the tumulus "Funayama kofun". The third step is the second half of the sixth century in which the certain materials of the Bemin emerged. It is "*" of the signature on the big sword excavated at the tumulus "Okadayama ichigou kofun" and basically, it is inscribed in Japanese just as it is read. Consequently, the Uji-Kabane was established between the end of the fifth century and the first half of the sixth century.Though the Hito System in the fifth century was influenced by China, the Bemin System in the sixth century was influenced by Kudara. The Uji was established with the establishment of the Bemin System. The Bemin System has close relationship with Miyake "**" and Tadokoro "*", and there is a qualitatively phased difference between the Hito System and the Bemin System. But, because the Uji is influenced by the Hito System, the essence emerges in Naoi-no-Uji. It is the Kabane that demonstrates the ranking of the Uji like this clearly. Less
