The development of the image database for cancer-related protein /gene interaction pathway

我们已经开发了一个图像集成数据库系统Cancer Pro View，用于癌症相关蛋白质相互作用途径。对于该数据库，我们实现了以下数据内容和分析功能：（1）癌症相关蛋白质、功能结构域、相互作用途径和相关疾病（2）癌症相关基因突变和遗传多态性的图形视图（3）具有共同功能结构域的适当癌症相关蛋白的搜索能力（4）发现相应的癌症-从基因符号中检索相关基因和蛋白质（5）利用蛋白质功能域的名称检索适当的蛋白质（6）利用日语或英语检索关键词。在这个CancerProView中，我们收集了84个疾病基因的数据，其中包括45个癌症相关基因（BRCA 1，BRCA 2，AKT 2，CSF 1 R，ELK 1等），蛋白质相互作用途径图22幅，文献111篇，cDNA核苷酸序列和蛋白质氨基酸序列355个。这些数据内容改编自各种数据库（SMART用于蛋白质结构域，HGMD和OMIM用于疾病基因，Refseq用于cDNA序列，PubMed用于文献）。CancerProView数据库使用Web浏览器操作，原型系统可在主页（http：//131.113.190.16/php/crpd.html）上获得。CancerProView将作为一个有用的工具，通过癌症相关蛋白及其相互作用途径更好地了解癌症发病机制。这对于发展分子诊断和药物发现也是不变的。

We have developed an image integrated database system Cancer Pro View for interaction pathways of cancer-related proteins. For this database, we implemented the following data contents and analytical functions: (1) image display of cancer-related proteins, functional domains, interaction pathways and associated diseases (2) graphical view of cancer-related gene mutations and genetic polymorphisms (3) search capability of appropriate cancer-related proteins that have common functional domains (4) finding of corresponding cancer-related genes and proteins from gene symbol (5) search for proper proteins using name of protein functional domain (6) keyword search with either Japanese or English. In this CancerProView, we collected data on 84 disease genes including 45 cancer-related genes (BRCA1, BRCA2, AKT2, CSF1R, ELK1 etc.), 22 pathway charts for protein interaction, 111 literatures, 355 cDNA nucleotide sequences and protein amino acid sequences. These data contents were adapted from various databases (SMART for protein domains, HGMD and OMIM for disease genes, Refseq for cDNA sequences and PubMed for literatures). The CancerProView database is operated using a Web browser and a prototype system is available at homepage (http://131.113.190.16/php/crpd.html). The CancerProView will serve as a useful tool for better understanding the cancer pathogenesis through cancer-related proteins and their interaction pathways. It is also invariable for developing molecular diagnosis and drug discovery.
