Security Services for Stream-Oriented and Multicast-Based Communication

有损网络上的多播通信正成为越来越多应用的基础。因此，为多播通信提供可靠的安全机制至关重要。然而，现有的组播安全协议只提供部分解决方案。本课题主要研究组播通信的两个主要安全问题：认证和保密。该项目的目标是：（1）开发一个分析和评估多播通信安全服务的框架;（2）设计有效的算法和协议，以保护新兴的基于多播和/或面向流的应用程序。

Multicast communication over lossy networks is becoming the basic for a growing number of aplications. It is therefore critical to provide sound security mechanisms for multicast communication. Yet, existing security protocols for multicast offer only partial solutions. This project is concerned with two major security problems of multicast communications: authentication and secrecy. The goal of this project is to: (1) develop a framework for analysis and evaluation of security services for multicast communication; (2) design efficient algorithms and protocols for securing emerging applications that are multicast-based and/or stream-oriented.
