Chemical syntheses of oligosaccharides to elucidate host-parasite interactions

近年来，人们对哺乳动物组织中糖蛋白和鞘糖脂的寡糖残基进行了广泛的生物识别研究。相比之下，很少有时间专门研究来自无脊椎动物的低聚糖的结构，这些结构与哺乳动物的聚糖有很大的不同。由于这些聚糖结构的差异，我们一直对无脊椎动物低聚糖的结构与生物活性之间的关系感兴趣，并在我们的持续研究中阐明宿主-寄生虫相互作用的机制。我们从蠕虫、多房棘球蚴、猪蛔虫、曼氏血吸虫和接合菌种毛霉进行了低聚糖的合成，得到了20多种目标低聚糖。

The oligosaccharide residues of glycoprotein and glycosphingolipids in mammalian tissues have been extensively studied for various biological recognition in recent years. In contrast, much less time has been devoted to structures of oligosaccharides from invertebrates that differ significantly from mammalian glycans. Due to these differences in the glycan structure we have been interested in the relationships between the structure and biological activity of oligosaccharides from invertebrate species, and in our continuing studies to elucidate the mechanism of host-parasite interaction. We carried out the synthesis of oligosaccharides from the helminth, Echinococcus multilocularis, Ascaris suum, Schistosoma mansoni and Zygomycetes species Mucor hiemalis, and got target oligosaccharides more than twenty kinds.
