Examination of terms for sustainable use of fishing grounds in brackish water through consideration of decision making process of fishermen

菲律宾帕奈岛的哈卡普河河口在为日本虾池填海的过程中变得浅了，可能是许多居民在没有大型设备的情况下可以使用的渔场。今天，由于安装小型固定渔具和采用牡蛎养殖而过度开发渔场的问题日益严重。本研究从事关当地社区生存维护和渔民决策的社会习俗角度，阐明了渔场过度开发的环境问题产生的背景。

The mouth of Hacap river in Panay Island, the Philippines became shallow in the process of reclamation for shrimp pond for Japan and could be a fishing ground many residents can use without large-scale equipments. Today, over exploitation of the fishing ground due to the installation of small-sized stationary fishing gears and the adoption of oyster culture is a growing problem. This study clarified the background of the local environmental problem that the fishing ground is over-exploited from the viewpoints of social customs related to the survival maintenance of the local community and decision-making of fisher folks.
