Empirical Study on the Development of University Education for Women in the New School System : Focusing on the Perspective Coeducational System

本研究以男女同校制为视角，探讨战后新学制下建立的女子大学教育的发展历程和历史特征。最后，本研究认为，大多数根据《学校教育法》成立的大学，由于宪法和《学校教育法》规定男女入学资格平等，因此理所当然地认为男女同校。另一方面，女子大学虽然部分包含了特色教育的一面，但也有培养适合民主社会的女性的意图。

This study explores the developmental process and historical features of university education for women which was established in the postwar new school system, by approaching from the perspective of coeducational system.Finally, this study suggested most of the universities, which were founded based on the School Education Act, took the coeducation of men and women for granted because the entrance qualification of men and women became equal in the Constitution and the School Education Act. On the other hand, although women's universities partially included a side of characteristic education, there was an intention for them to educate the women suitable for democratic society.
