A motor learning by observation using still images

本研究的目的是检验静态图像中包含的运动信息是否可以作为知觉运动学习的有用信息。本研究以投球过程中的上肢动作为研究对象。进行了两个实验。首先，10名受试者观看了有系统地推迟肘部伸展时间的棒状图片电影，并在检测到显著运动差异时按下鼠标键。接下来，他们通过观察运动的静止图像来确认检测到的时间。结果表明，运动图像和静止图像的时序基本相同。计算了上肢两关节的角度、角速度和扭矩。然后，明确了肘关节扭矩刚刚上升的时刻是检测到的时刻。

The purpose of this study was to examine whether movement information embodied in the still images could be useful information for perceptual motor learning. Upper limb movements during the ball-throwing were selected for this study. Two experiments were conducted. First, ten subjects observed stick pictures movies which are systematically delayed the timing of the elbow extension, and pushed the mouse button when the significant movement difference was detected. Next, they confirmed the detected timing form the observation of the still images of the movements. The results showed that the timing were almost the same between movements and static images. The angles, angular velocities, and torques about the tow joints of the upper limb were calculated. Then, it was cleared that the timing when the torque about the elbow joint just rises was the detected instant.
