Towards Sustainable Land Use in Asia (SLUAS)

亚洲可持续土地利用综合研究已在日本、中国、印度、远东俄罗斯、菲律宾、泰国、印度尼西亚和缅甸等地开展，并制作了包含大量数字地图数据和地理参考照片的土地利用变化数据文件，用于识别土地利用的状况和变化以及存在的问题。这项研究的结果已发表在SLUAS科学报告(I)-(V)和许多其他期刊和出版物上。SLUAS还参加了许多会议，包括国际地理联盟、日本地球科学联盟和日本科学理事会的会议，为增进对可持续土地利用的了解作出了巨大贡献。SLUAS还为日本科学委员会关于日本东部大灾难的一些建议做出了贡献，其中土地利用的可持续性是一个主要问题。

Integrated study on Sustainable Land Use in Asia (SLUAS) has been conducted in a number of places in Asia, namely in Japan, China, India, Fareast Russia, Philippines, Thai, Indonesia, and Myanmar, and land-use change data files with large amount of digital map data and geo-referenced photographs have been produced and used to identify the state and change of land use and the existing problems. The results of the study have been reported in SLUAS Science Report (I)-(V) and many other journals and publications. SLUAS has also been involved in many meetings including those of International Geographical Union, Japan Geoscience Union and Science Council of Japan, contributing greatly to enhancement of understanding in sustainable land use. SLUAS also contributed to some proposals of Science Council of Japan on the Great East Japan Disaster, in which sustainability of land use is a major issue.
